One of my favorite weaving moments - when fiber, light and potential fill the loom. The moment before things come into being, when darkness and light are still intertwined. The moment plans are pushed to the background and instinct is allowed to take center stage, Yesterday, before starting to play with a woven transparency, the instinct had me reaching for the camera. Yarn & light. So simple, so beautiful.

Human nature
I decide to walk rather than drive to the art store. About 40 minutes of walking on Lincoln street in Santa Monica. Shops, car repair shops, restaurants. Lots of concrete. I start noticing the murals. More than half of them depict nature.
After seeing the third one, the irony strikes me. We cover nature with concrete. Then we cover concrete with nature. Urban nature, or perhaps a glimpse at the human nature.
The beauty of imperfection
The trip to Japan starts moving from dream stage to reality. Tickets are booked, time to take the first steps into this new world.
Starting to dive into the wabi sabi concept, trying to grasp it by reading (Leonard Koren book for the 2nd time) and photographing. If I were at my studio now, I would probably try to understand it through metal work as well.
The beauty of age, of things impermanent and imperfect.
Sounds pretty perfect to me.
